In-wall cables / Odd question because of them.

So as my basement finishing kicks into full gear, I'm left with the option of putting all my gear in the back enclosed in a closet for a clean look. Or, shelling out the cash to buy a nice stand that goes up front (salamander @ 2k) for all of my gear. I'm leaning towards putting everything in the back as it's a much cleaner look and cheaper than buying a stand for everything. Because of this, I have about a 30ft run of in wall speaker cable that will need to be run to the front.

I'm open to suggestions as far as what in-wall cable to use, and opening it up to what might be a silly question and turn into you rabid beasts for a cable debate.

Would I be an idiot to run in-wall cable to a banana jack plug on the wall, and use my MIT cables from there to the speakers?

It seems like it's somewhat pointless as the route from the amp to the banana jack would be tainted compared to cables straight from the amp... but again, it brings up the same argument of how a power cable makes any sense if the line running from the source to the outlet isn't high-end. Has anyone tried this? Any tests? It's been tough to research, but the thought of selling off my MITs to opt for a 10 or 12 gauge in-wall for better speakers doesn't necessarily sit right.
