Happy Birthday to my MOM

Today is my mothers 70th birthday & im just starting to get over pneumonia. It saddens me i cant do as i planned. I made plans on taking her out for shrimp & her favorite fish chowda. This woman can eat fish chowda every day. A true Main'a. She is a heck of a woman & i am so upset im not going there today. She understands. Her health isnt the greatest & she has had many of strokes & has been in wheelchair for 1-1/2 years or so. I hope she will be with us longer & i get a chance to do it on her birthday next year. I love my mother & she knows it & i guess thats what matters & next week can be just as good

    Well send Mom a hearty Happy Birthday from another chowda lover. BTW...take her out for chowda as much as possible. Let the woman enjoy the things she does. I'll tip a glass of wine to her tonight....HBD to you Mom.

    Thanks guys. She has certain places she really enjoys the chowders. I pick her up big containers often. I know she misses going to those places & once in while if i can steal the car i will take her out. My 2500 p/up is too high off ground & getting her out of wheelchair is hard. Mark im turning 51 this summer. Your only as old as you feel young man :smile:

    Thanks all. I talked to her 3 times today & we have plans for mid week. All is well & she doesnt want me there LOL. My brother & sisters were there & she had a great day. That makes me feel good

    I know its not much fun being ill and in a chair, but what a blessing for you to still be able to walk up and hear"Theres my boy".

    You def. did the right thing staying away while you were sick, I had a little chest cold, and just as I was getting over it deb got a little hack that turned into pneumonia.

    I blamed myself for so long until I accepted that god only made her suffer for 2 weeks
    and let her cheat cancers long painful death.

    The chowda will taste great when the time is right.
