I have MIT EXp2 speaker cables (got them in the 'wrong ended writing' sale that was posted here a few years back) with both ends terminated with banana plugs from the factory.
I would like to try them on my Klipsch speakers but am unsure and leery that if I take off the ends I don't know what I would be in for! :) I really don't want to ruin them but I also can't test them out unless they have bare wire to hook onto the screws at the back of my speakers.

Does anyone know how many strands I am dealing with or if it is a very thick one or two wire make up? I have 5 Mit EXp2 cables and use them for my home theater set up but since I separated and went with a 2 channel only system I would like to try them.

Of course I don't want to bugger them up so not sure what to do to try them out.

Not much info on Mit Cables and older Klipsch speakers, I think spades would work but I dont have any of them either. Maybe be best just to leave them alone and keep the set of 5 for my HT. ah the drama.... :)

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Ken B. I am looking into how I can interchange them.

Do the Bananas just screw off or do I have to cut them off. I found this info but it is not clear enough as to how they interchange?

Note: These speaker cables are fitted with MIT's modular "iconn" speaker connector system. This offers a flexible choice of different spade lugs or other connectors.

They just screw off. I got mine from the same deal you did.

Thanks Ken B. Just found out what you told me! Your faster than Google! Ha Ha! :)

The iconn system foundation is the Pin Base™, which comes standard on all MIT speaker interfaces. The Pin-Base is threaded to accept iconn spades or bananas, making speaker interfaces work in any system configuration

How much would you want for 4 of them, if you have that many and wanted to sell them?

Looks like I can get 4 off of Amazon for $29.00 US with free shipping to Canada.

Sounds like a good deal unless someone here has some that they want to sell at a lower cost with free shipping? Not asking for much am I! lol :) Thanks.

    gfong,

MIT also sells braided wire ICONN ends for use with screw terminals. Look online for the AudioNerd or contact MIT directly.

Thanks F1nut will have a look, may work better as the screw terminals on the speakers are small.
