First, it was reported that Neill Blomkamp, the director of District 9, Elysium, and Chappie will be directing another Alien movie with Sigourney Weaver that takes place after Aliens and will disregard the third and fourth movie. (This is separate from Prometheus 2)

Now it's being reported that it will bridge the gap between Alien and Aliens. I'm a huge fan of the first two, and would love to see it come about, but I don't know how they are going to do it because of Sigourney's age. Perhaps Michael Biehn will send her back in time to "terminate" the Aliens. Oh wait, wrong movie.

Loved the first two, not so much the others. I found Prometheus to be almost unintelligible, even after reading a plot synopsis and watching it again. Or maybe it was just ridiculous.

Ironically, I saw Aliens before Alien. I was just a kid when Alien came out, so I didn't get to see it. When Aliens came out, for some reason I thought they were just reshowing the original movie at the theaters. I didn't pick up on the "s" at the end. A few years later it was on TV, and I thought I was sitting down to re-watch Aliens because I still didn't know there were two movies. When the movie started, I was like, "What the hell is this?" GREAT movie, and the two are completely different kinds of movies.

A girl I used to date told me that when she was a kid, she and her brother were staying with their grandparents, and her grandfather took them to see Alien at the theater when it came out, thinking it was a kid's movie! She said she was traumatized by it, but loves it now that she is older.

Didn't know anything about Alien when I saw it at the theater during it's original run. Apparently not many other movie goers that night knew much about it either as everyone screamed and jumped out of their seats when the creature was "born".

When Sigourney looks good, she's hot. When she don't, she don't. Not the greatest legs, and almost petite up top, but a hammer face. Alien and Ghostbusters does it for me. She looked like a piece of candy.

    Great movie Alien.

Serious air brushing there: the skin tones look cartoonish, and the unibrow is gone. Or was that only for that painter that she played?
