Completed CD Project

A good friend of mine invited me to arrange and play violin orchestration on several songs of a CD project he has been working on this past year. All of the music is brand new material composed and arranged by him and his band. It was recorded at Studio West in Rancho Bernardo, Ca. Engineering and mastering are finally complete.

I thought SDA fans would be interested to know that I was given the opportunity to provide input on the final mixes and mastering and that my input was based on listening to them on my 2.3TL's. I can tell you that the mixes sound excellent in SDA. Vocals are dead center and there's plenty of soundstage.

The CD is Christian worship genre. For those interested in having a listen, it's being distributed through CDBABY and is out there on the usual places to get music.

Hey Doug... Might want to mention they sell a FLAC download version on their website (if they have one).

I've lately noticed lots of the Youtube people I follow adding FLAC downloads for purchase on their own website. They get ALL the revenue rather than a small portion, and I get a high quality format INSTANTLY, rather than waiting for a CD and then ripping it.

    Just a thought.

    Ender,
Thanks! I think he is in the process of getting the FLAC files and will definitely update the thread if they become available through his website.

I will take a listen later, but would you compare them to like SonicFlood, Jars of Clay, or Skillet, etc?

There is a nice mix of styles on the CD. I would compare them to 3rd Day, Sonic Flood and Jars of Clay and maybe a bit of FFH.
