I loved it from the first episode that aired and Leonard Nimoy was the main reason. "Boldly Go" Mr Nimoy, thanks for the entertainment.

I remember in Junior High my friends and I would get together a watch every...can't remember what night it was on.

That didn't surprise me. Despite the fact that they were supposedly good friends, Shatner has always been about Shatner. He tweeted that planes to L.A. don't run all night. He's not exactly in the soup line, he could have chartered a private jet very easily. There are Airports in literally every county in Florida.
