I heard he was sick but this is a shocker. R.I.P. He was a great actor, even before Star Trek, he was in westerns, etc. But his role in Star Trek was truly classic. When I was a kid, my Dad and I both loved Star Trek and wherever we were on Thursday night (I think it was,) we made darn sure we were home in time to watch Star Trek. So far ahead of its time its crazy. And Spock was one of the reasons it was truly special.

He had been in the hospital a week, after an emergency call to his home... He was a good one.

I may have to watch some of my old DVD rips of Star Trek tonight and find the series on Netflix or Hulu to watch again...

    He will be missed...

I did enjoy him as a Character on Fringe for those few episodes he was in.

I wouldn't have guessed Shatner would have outlived him. RIP, thanks for contributing to a classic.

Spock was probably my favorite character on Star Trek.

His presentation/portrayal of the script writers words in some of the episodes was beyond phenominal. An example is when Spock meets Trulane in "The Squire of Gothos." If you haven't seen that episode, or at least that portion (in a while) here you go:

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

He was a "surprise" speaker at the Star Trek convention back in Boston in the mid 80's. It was pure, blind luck, that we decided to go to THAT convention.
Totally blown away when HE walked on stage! My friends and I just looked at each other with our mouths hanging open :o

He lived long, he certainly prospered, and he will be missed. Of the three eldest, Shatner is the only one left, although Nichelle Nichols isn't far behind at 81.

It is sad seeing the members of one of the most iconic shows of all time go. :'(

But I pretty much knew when he came out and announced he had advanced COPD that he was pretty much on his way out. Cigarettes will come back to haunt you sooner or later.

    RIP Leonard Nimoy!

Thanks for that pic... I had no idea he had a Riviera. That was my first, and still among my favorite cars.

I can now say I am just as cool as Mr. Spock! B)
