Surroundbar 6000 mutes, changes volume and turns off on its own

I've had this SB 6000 for about a year and it worked great until a week ago when it started muting, changing its own volume and turning itself on/off . I have tried different audio sources and the same issue persists. Is this a known issue and what can i do? I need to get this fixed ASAP

Welcome to Polk's forum. Let's try resetting the learning remote, first put the unit in "standby". The LED will be red. Then touch the "learn" button for a second until the LED turns amber and blinks. This wipes clean the learned remote instructions, however it will still respond to the Polk remote that came with it.
If this doesn't cure the problem give Polk's CS guys a call at 1-800-377-7655.

this didn't solve the problem and I keep missing the work hours because i'm on central time
