Tube amp. no sound out of one amp.

A couple of months ago I built a pair of monoblock amps VTA M 125,s. This was my first kit build and for around a month they were both playing with no problems, just beautiful music. Then the left channel started to pop a little when I would turn it off. I then started to notice a rather loud hum while playing. I had some initial trouble with the bias in this left channel amp. but now the bias is fine. I now don't have any sound coming from that amp. I have checked all my solder connections ( and resoldered most). I did a full voltage test and all the readings are right. I have switched all tubes with the right amp several times but still no sound, just a very faint static sound. Before I ship it out to someone who knows what they are doing, is there anything else that I should test. The right channel plays fine with any combination of tubes etc, it just doesn't make any sense. Voltage test for rectifier GZ34, Quad cap, B+, and all four socket 8 pins are all within range.

The fuse is good, everything powers up.

Have you tried the amp on a different output...swap the left and right outputs on the pre ? Could be a problem with the pre amp outputs....cables?HT SYSTEM-

That's what I've been thinking. Seems like all the voltages and bias would indicate that all is good going in. I don't know how common it is for a brand new transformer that was working fine to go bad. I'm not really sure how to test that either.

I would think checking for output at the speaker terminals would work. If you have a signal in and nothing out, problem found I would think. I had two bad ones out of the gate when I built my Carver Statements.The Gear... It sure makes sense to me, two bad ones, double trouble. I didn't know Carver had kits? How do you like them? I'll have to see about getting a replacement.

I was pretty sure they weren't a kit but I had to ask, you never know, awesome project. I can't even get my kit build to work right now.

It took almost two years of fabrication and a bunch of help from a guy named Bob to make them sing, but the experience and opportunity to do something like that is a memory I will treasure forever. After they were done, Bob even signed and blessed them with his name on the faceplate.

I just found some pics of your amps (assuming they are the granite base ones), wow, awesome. Sign me up for the kit version. I can see why it took two years to build them. Just beautiful.

No I'm getting some sound but it is very weak and distorted but at least I can hear music. Does this change any sources of the problem?
