The new idiot box ?

I was just wondering have we exchanged one idiot box for another ? Is it still the TV ,or is your computer the screen you spend the most time with ? I'm on the computer with the TV on for background noise. Damn those naked women. I feel so cheap.

    At least the computer has the potential for intellegent uses, whereas everything on TV is retarded.

    And yes there are intellegent uses for the computer. Oh if only I wasn't such a perverse.

    History Ch isnt retarded, you calling all people that watch TV non Intelligent? Not trying to bust balls just want to get your response. I agree TV is the **** of the mind to an extent. Worse **** happens on this "great" Information Super Highway. I think you can use your imagination as to all the sick **** that happens on the web.

    No, there are some very good things on TV, and some very bad things on the internet. I realize and admit that. Did you really thing that I truly thought all of TV was a waste? I just see a higher potential and often execution of the good on the internet, and I have very little space in my heart for MTV, Jerry Springer and other mindkillers we see on TV. Overall I think TV is a pretty big waste of time.

    The reason I asked the question is because, I had not really noticed how much of an effect the computer, and the internet has over my life. I find though that I spend less time looking at TV.
    Less time listening to music, and less time wathcing DVD's. More time is spent surfing the net, and playing computer games now. More time is spent inside now as well.
