SDA Binding Post Upgrade

Hey guys; Even though I am new to this forum I have learned a lot in the past couple of weeks. I looked at my SDA-1As last night to start selecting binding posts. I see that they are on 0.75" centers and are mounted on the recessed plastic part that holds one of the x-over boards and in my case the tweeter fuse holders. I also noticed that Sonic Craft has a sale until the end of this month and they carry Cardas connectors. I also wish upgrade the interconnect cable.
I need your experience to answer my questions.
1. Will the Cardas CC style binding post work for the speaker connection.
2. Will the Cardas CC long style binding post work for the interconnect cable (drill holes in the cabinet?)
3. Can they be separated and mounted on different centers if needed (the interconnect cable)?
4. Is this a good way to upgrade the posts and interconnect cable?
5. If I need them where can I find replacement fuse holders?
Thanks
Bob

1. Yes, you want the CCGR short.
2. Use SpeakOn connectors and do NOT drill any holes in the cabinet.
3. See #2.
4. An excellent choice for the binding posts. Again, see #2.
5. Mouser, Digikey and probably any electronic supply house.Political Correctness'.........defined

The CCGG Short are also excellent. The Cardas come pre-mounted in a nylon block, but can be installed without it. The spacing is the same as the Polk Binding Posts, but the holes must be enlarged. If your 1As have the round, black Binding Post Cup, you have two fuse blocks above the binding posts. That's where we normally mount the new SpeakON connector for the Interconnect Cable. You most likely have a blade/blade connector directly below the Binding Post Cup. This must be removed, and the hole enlarged to accept the SpeakON Socket.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Thanks for the feedback.
You are correct about my speakers having the binding post cup, fuse holders, and blade/blade connector.
I don't understand why you guys recommend the SpeakON system over a pair of high quality binding posts?
Drilling a couple of 5/16" holes and filling them with binding posts seems like an easy task. I do think when drilling into the particle board they should be spaced more than 3/4". This is where I would use the long binding posts and separate them so the spacing is around 2".
When using the SpeakON system are you guys reusing the original interconnect cable?Mojo Audio Illuminati v3>>Quantum Byte w/LMS>>Rpi/PiCoreplayer>> Starlight 7 USB >> Mojo Audio Mystique v2 SE>>ModWright SWL 9.0 SE Signature>>Hafler DH-500 Amp+ (Musical Concepts Fully Modded)>>

You'll be making the new interconnect from the same type speaker cable your using for the Amp-Speaker cable.

Is this correct?
Neutriks NL2MP 2 pole receptacle with solder tabs.
Neutriks NL2FX 2 pole connector with screw terminals.
Both are for 12ga wire.Mojo Audio Illuminati v3>>Quantum Byte w/LMS>>Rpi/PiCoreplayer>> Starlight 7 USB >> Mojo Audio Mystique v2 SE>>ModWright SWL 9.0 SE Signature>>Hafler DH-500 Amp+ (Musical Concepts Fully Modded)>>

Are you guys saying to use the speakOn connectors for the binding posts too, or just the interconnect?

Thanks, I thought so, but was just checking. It would be a little more effort to connect if you weren't bi amping each speaker. To say nothing of the extra holes.
