Learn button issue

Hello,
I purchased my soundbar 4000 last year and it has worked fairly well with a few resets in the past. But I went to switch the remote and have the system learn some new buttons without success. Whenever I hold the learn button, the volume just increases and no amber light ever comes on. When the system is in standby, holding learn does nothing. Is it possible the touch panel is picking up the learn button as volume up? Anyone else had this issue?
Oh, another issue I just found is the source button acts as a power button now, leading me to believe this is related to my first problem. Please advise.

Hello,
Probably the first thing to try is to put the bar in the standby mode, the LED will be red. Then touch the "learn" button and the LED will become amber and blink. This means the unit has wiped it's external commands, it will still respond to its own remote.

Thank you for the quick reply! Unfortunately, I did try that, but touching or holding the learn button does nothing in standby. I have also pulled the plug on the unit and plugged it back in, but that doesn't seem to have fixed anything.
