Speaker Static

Just went through the auto calibration saved the settings and now I'm noticing some static on all my speakers seems to be on multiple sources most notably on the surround sound speakers when there is no audio being sent to them. If I stick my ear next to the speakers and mute the source obviously the static noise is muted as well but that's how I can verify that there is some output static being sent to the speakers. I first noticed it when navigating through the menus of XBMC.
Had no issues at all prior to the calibration could it possible be the level calibration that was saved? Any help would be appreciated.

Most auto eq's inside avr's create noise, and it is especially noticeable over HDMI sources sending PCM. It's normal. I bet if you turn off audyssey it will decrease.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Is it static or a hiss?Political Correctness'.........defined

Turned off dynamic EQ after in the settings of my AVR and it's pretty much unnoticeable now.

Double check your connections. Make sure your using some quality cabling too. Some settings in the receiver will expand on any noise which xbmc is probably introducing. Could also be a compatibility issue with XBMC and the settings your trying to use. Try another input, like a cdp and see if the sound persist.
If your not getting sound from the surrounds, most likely a setting issue. Make sure you read the manual too.HT SYSTEM-

if you have to read the manual it is a design flaw. -
