i installed JRiver 19 on my pc earlier this year but no longer use that desktop. I recently acquired a Mac Mini Server edition to use as my central "all things" entertainment. The mini has a very small footprint and is dead silent.
Today, I attempted to use my pc registration code for JRiver on OSX but did not work. I sent an email to one of the admins over at JRiver and within five minutes, received a response.
In short, I received a new registration code for the latest JRiver (20) at no cost! Shout out to JRiver.

Nice. I read that jriver 20 has an application that will send all of your pc's audio (ie. Internet radio, YouTube) via dnla.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

He means DLNA, which is a popular streaming protocol. You basically have DLNA software running somewhere and then devices that are DLNA capable can stream from it.

Halen, you should give Amarra and Audirvana Plus a shot as well, both have free trials and are worth checking out. Both sound materially better to me than JRiver on the Mac platform to my ears, though I have not tried the new version 20 of JRiver yet.

I still only have jriver 19 but I also use the free software "stream what you hear" that sends spotify or any other internet radio over to the yamaha avr. It does a wonderful job and sounds much better than the spotify app that was built into my previous onkyo. In addition spotify now let's me control my pc's spotify software with my spotify smartphone app. It all works together very well.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. Danny,
I will check out the other two you mentioned. Left work around noon today and setup my music library but have not listened to any tunes yet.
35 north was getting dense, so I had to head out. Pitstop, Winstar Casino. Haha. Did not end too well.

I was check ing out the Bata version about 2 years ago on a Mac as I wanted something to separate my iTunes stuff from my High rez stuff.
I have been using Pure Music Which works with iTunes but it runs behind it. It allows iTunes to manage your music but the Flac Files don't really live in iTunes , just a Bookmark.
I tried out J River on my Windows side and really liked it's interface. I'm gonna have to revisit them as it sounds like they got it up and running on Mac.
Cool thanks for sharing.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time.
