Will stock jumpers just pull out?

Will the stock pre-out main in jumpers on my Nikko NR 1219 just pull out or do I have to open this thing up? I know I could just try but I don't have experience with this and if there are set screws or something holding it I don't want to screw-up something inside.
They look to be steel. Just want to try an upgrade and see the difference.

DIY jumpers made of decent copper wire and RCA plugs should be a worthwhile improvement. Steel sucks as a signal conductor. FYI, you don't need a ground wire on the RCA's, only a signal."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

Thanks for that. I did notice the stock jumpers just go inside the jack without touching the sides so one conductor for sure. I think I'll make my own as one place near me has pure OCC silver jumpers for $100. Too rich for me. 8awg copper like the stock ones should do fine.AVR: Integra DTR-50.4

This is what I did. Spades on the speaker cable, nanners on the jumpers (or you can do vice versa).
