gimpod.com down?

It would be a shame if his site went down. Great source of info on the SDA mods, especially with the part-number order info and the interactive diagrams for parts placements on his boards. Was really a big help when I did my 2BTL crossovers.

Trey, you able to add Tony's stuff to your site if Tony's not going to have his site up any longer?

Ya know, I don't think I've seen Tony on here since the format change. I'll give him a call tomorrow.

Jesse, I think I saw him on here acouple times, but it was a number of weeks back. (I may be mistaken). Haven't seen him post in a long while though.

I hope his site will still be "open for business". I agree with agfrost, it's agood one. I just tried it and couldn't get to it either.

I hope Tony is doing OK too.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

  • I hope the site comes back,, I just used it recently to get the part list and to order the caps and resistors for my sda 1c rebuild, I got the circuit boards from him last year.
There was a great part placement guide/photo on the site. I wish I would had got a screen shot of it.
Hopefully the site is back again soon, great resource.
I can barely see the road from the heat comin off it

Tony's site was valuable when I did Carl's 2.3 xovers with gimpod boards. His schematic included jumper info where Polk's schematic does not.

Thanks for looking into it Jesse. I would have had a heck of a time redoing my 2.3TL's and CRS+ (still work in progress) without it. It's a great asset for SDA modders.

FYI I just got an email from Sal (He's hosting the site) and he said the last time he checked it was working fine and that he would look into it when he got home.

Same with me last I checked everything seemed fine. I've been laid up with skin issues for the past couple mouths trying to heal up my a s s. Got a new wheelchair about 6-7 mouths ago but it just doesn't seem to be working out all that well.

Also I have a complete backup of the site so if something bad has happened all is not lost.

  • I am trying to rebuild my sda srs xover but unfortunatly the gimpod side went down.
  • Tony actually contacted me , he's fine and we both agree the format and traffic here just does not live up to the former format. For me to get in I had to reregister change p/w -u/n and could not navigate this site all that well. Speaks to my computer illiteracy but many a member went over to AK. As for the gimpod site I was very impressed w/ the interactive feature and should be kept somwhere for those who tackle their own SDA x-overs.

Sorry guys it should be working but I have zero access to find out why it's not, It's like my username and password have been revoked and Sal has been crazy busy and hasn't had the time to find out whats going on.

So be patient we'll get it figured out,

Just for tonyb we all probably need some kind of stinking I.D. card to get access. ;)

Nice to see the rest of you guys are just as sick and perverted as I am. :p

Just a heads up the site may or may not be a little screwed up for a bit as Sal is transferring it over to me, the domain name (www.gimpod.com) will stay the same but it will be on a different server so bear with while the switch go's on.
