My Surroundbar 2000 had to be reset, how do I get it to turn itself on when sound comes thru

Welcome to Polk's forum. Are you referring to the auto on/off for the sub?

All I know is it got around to turning itself back on as soon as sound came thru, it did this on its own after a while without me knowing doing anything, thanks, V.M.

Usually that's a feature that sub-woofers have. But give a call, first thing on Monday, to Polk's CS department at 1-800-377-7655 or send them an email to: polkcs@polkaudio.com
I'm sure they can help straighten things out.
