SB50 center channel malfunction

After 6.7 flawless years my SB 50 is misbehaving. I hear no low frequencies from the center channel. I checked the connections compulsively and they were good. The driver and tweeter are both moving so they are getting some kind of signal, only high frequency. I borrowed a satellite speaker from another system, hooked it up to the center wires and it sounds okay. So it's not a signal problem from the receiver. Is this something I can repair myself? If so, how?
