DSW Pro 600 Subwoofer Problem

I recently purchased a used Polk DSW Pro 600 powered subwoofer. It is having a problem. When I hook it up to my receiver (I've verified that my other subwoofer works fine with this receiver), it goes from barely audible to rattling the walls. It goes up and down in volume on it's own at what seems like random intervals.

Would this be an amplifier problem or a bad driver?

Welcome to Polk's forum. I would venture to say the problem is with the amplifier, possibly with the volume control portion.

Thanks Ken. I emailed CS with the question. Hopefully if is is the amp they can give me a good price on a replacement. I got such a deal on this unit, it'll be worth fixing.
