I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

You could have made your own awhile ago.Rel actually suggests that you match your main wires there. They sell the connection with no wire.
Pretty cool that Signal Cable makes and aftermarket one...nice as long as it reaches to your sub.....let me know how you make out man....

My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Signal Cable just keeps getting BIGGER and BETTER. How cool is that?
Hey, an Audiogon ad is a GOOD thing. It was such an ad that turned me onto Frank's audio interconnects - what, 2 -3 years ago? In trying to setup a group purchase, we ended up on a flat discount for Club Polk members - the rest is history - audio history for many happy members here.
Hell, just last month, Frank at Signal Cable sent us goodies to give away at the Texas Polk Gathering. We actually sent Stu Lumsden (VP of Polk Engineering) home with Signal Cable's new Hi-Res power cable to check out. Stu was VERY impressed with the build quality - his statement was along the lines 'Now THIS is something for the Lab back at Polk - very cool'.
I gotta ask, 1 neg cables (as I can see in the ad) - is that a common ground thing for REL subs?
Cheers,

Dan,
yeah, I know, but I really like the build quality of Frank's cable, not to mention he already spent the time to match/research the results. I trusted him and his opinion. We had a great discussions this afternoon, as to the merit of its (the cable) improvement, turned out he is also a believer on REL subs. I have SC internal biwire for the front speaks, so this cable should complement it pretty nicely (that's the other reason why I am looking forward to this cable.) I'll review it and test it out and let you know. It should be in, end of next week.
Russ,
I am not quite sure if it's common ground, but it does act like one. It's actually going to be black (common), red (right +), and blue (left +), color-wise. Cool find, indeed!I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie. -
I just freaking love Signal....he is always putting out good products. It is really nice to see someone support our little community like Frank has time and time again.
That is a neat cable, plus it will match eh? Very cool.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
yeah, doro! I am excited to check it out. Btw, how "fat" / thick is your sc double run cable?I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

It's 10 guage wire, but has the sleeving on it also, so it may be a little bit larger.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Got SC REL Speakon cable last week, hook it up yesterday. Build and construction quality is consistent with the rest of Frank's cable, very solid and professionally done.
Initial impression of the sound quality is ok, I actually feel that it sounds too flat, the original cable has, obviously, broken in for a while. What I am missing is the oomph, for exactly the same setup as is of the old cable. I grew accustomed to my system's sound, that changes is very apparent and obvious. So, having said that, before I make up my mind on its merit, I will let it cook for a while.
Curious, is REL the only subwoofer company with this design philosophy (i.e. utilizing speakon to match sub and front sonic characteristics) ?I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.
