Looking for a small/mini subwoofer

Ebay makes it pretty easy to return ... that aside I'd be madder than a wet hen too... hate it when them ebayers try to get one over... did he use the "maybe we can settle this by you offering me something for something you don't want" routine? First thing I do with those guys is file a claim/complaint so they know you ain't in no mood to eff around.

Ok, after further communication with Pinnacle, it turns out they are not the seller. The actual seller, IES makes it out that they are one and the same. So, I will request a refund via PayPal.

Oddly enough, Pinnacle keeps insisting that I did receive the correct sub???

Are you effing kidding me!?! Yeah, I'm requesting a PayPal refund. That is BS.

Make sure you log that complaint with ebay too and boofoo them on feedback.Ebay always sides with the buyer in "I didn't get what I ordered complaints"... and you don't want to have to pay for return shipping... They will give them like 48 hrs to resolve and if when they don't they will issue you the refund...Yes put a hold on it thru paypal too.They should be jumping thru their asses to resolve so as not to get slammed on feedback.

This whole deal is a big mess. In further emails with Pinnacle they tell me that the sub I got is the NEW SubCompact 8. That it is no longer a sealed sub and no longer has speaker level connections. In other words they have discontinued the original model and changed the name of the PS Sub 8-300, which is ported and has no speaker level connections, to the SubCompact 8. That, my friends, is messed up.

Lotta times it is just a matter of getting the right person on the phone and politely explaining to them your issue and letting them know that going to their office and rearranging a few of their features is not outside of your resolve. Seriously getting to that person will expedite your case and most times the first level flunkies are aholes just to turn back the more timid customers. I don't think you fall in to that category. Maybe would should all **** bomb their social media.

I've had to have one of my SPL1000's serviced from them. They were awesome to say the least.

Quick responses, shipped the replacement amp quickly and gave me zero issue.

That said F1, I know you already picked something else up, but the minevee is the newer name for the SPL series. An SPL800 would have fit and they pop up on eBay all the time for well under the $900 brand new price tag.

So, I submitted a return request/email to the seller via eBay on the 29th. They had until the 4th to respond, but I never heard back from them. Talked with eBay today on the phone as their Resolution Center system is having issues. eBay had a pre-paid return shipping label to me a minute after we hung up (impressive) and will issue the refund as soon as the sub reaches the seller tomorrow. I have more to say about the matter, but I'll wait until the money is in my account.

After you receive your refund, make sure to leave an upper decker in their feedback. Just the thought of them not wanting to resolve the issue even though thru ebay they are going to get dinged anyway is just idiotic customer service on their part.

The nightmare continues. So, UPS was suppose to deliver the sub today, but they could not because either the address Pinnacle provided to eBay is wrong or Pinnacle has moved. I'll have to contact eBay tomorrow to see if they will refund my money now since Pinnacle is such a F'd up company.

Wow, sorry to have ever brought their name up. The lost art of customer service... hard to understand as they state they are "a 38 yr old family run company, 2nd oldest private owned speaker company in the U.S."

I remember when I used to get asked about good places to buy car audio online. I used to say there are several places with great prices....but the one that has higher prices yet consistently great customer service is Crutchfield.

Its amazing how companies are not going after business. The urge to hustle and customer service is the key!

Thankfully, this ordeal is finally over. As previously stated, UPS could not deliver the sub to the address on the eBay provided shipping label. I called eBay about that matter, the women said in that case she would issue my refund. Great or so I thought. I then get an email from eBay stating that the sub has to be delivered before they will issue the refund. AGH! So, I call again and speak with a different person. I explain that you, eBay supplied the shipping label, that I have no idea what their new address is, that there's no phone number listed on their site, etc., etc. She issued my refund as I was on the phone. Say what you want about eBay, they came through for me and I appreciate that.

Of note, I was previously told via email by Pinnacle that IES, the eBay seller, was not Pinnacle. That is was a lie. The shipping label provided by eBay was addressed to IES at the exact same address for Pinnacle in Hauppauge, NY.

Also somewhat amusing to me, UPS tracking shows the sub is still undelivered, so IES/Pinnacle is out the money and the sub. Serves them right. Who knows where that sub will end up.

We must have been going through this at the same time. I had noticed that one section of the item description mentioned speaker-level inputs, and another section didn't. I didn't order the unit because it looked fishy (especially the price!) but sent them a message on 10/29, to which I got this response:

Ebay does make good on their promise even though some of the sellers are F heads. I've had 2 issues in hundreds of xactions and never got burned.... It's all built in to the fee structure and they have all the leverage they need to get their money back from the seller.

Indeed, we were.

I noted that discrepancy as well, but everything else seemed good, the picture matched, the $750.00 list price, 100% feedback, etc.

Those emails from IES are BS, that's Pinnacle you were conversing with.

Either a new or used Minivee.

Hi, I'm looking for a small subwoofer too. I'll use it at home and it should be able to support my samsung smartphone. I saw one the other day which would work but the smartphone needs to lay on the subwoofer the whole time while listening to the music. Are there any subwoofers which work differently? I would like to be able to use my smartphone while listening to the music. Thank you for your help!
