Patio200 outdoor speakers just hooked up. When bass hits it distorts the sound. What's wrong

I have the bass turned to the lowest setting and it still is crackling.

    Sounds like they are not getting enough power.

    How do I solve a lack of power? I followed the cable size based on distance the tuner I have them hooked up to has worked before with outdoor speakers.

    What are you using to power the patio200's?
    It is possible the new speakers have a wider frequency range and thereby need more power.

    Technics receiver SA-EX300. 60W per channel.

    Make sure the speaker wire isn't touching another post on either side of the connections if your using bare wire. I don't think power is your problem. You either have a connection issue or the speakers are defective. Assuming your receiver itself isn't defective.
