Upgrade RT2000i Mid range by addtional woofer?????

Hi,

I have a Polk audio Rt2000i,RT800 which I love. But,I love Rt800's mid range better than Rt2000i. Sure , Rt2000i brings a lot bass sound. I love that too.

So I would like to modify my system that puts a Rt800's 2 woofers to my
Rt2000i unit. Is that possible to do? I appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you.

Not a likely project IMO. Run a sub with the 800's and call it a day if you like the mids better.

I agree...Sell the RT2000's and pick up a couple of subs. Something inexpensive like the Pioneer SW-8MK2 for about $116 each or less.

With the right placement and tuning you might be able to have all you are looking for.

The fun goes up with bigger, better subs!

The RT2000i's are a unique speaker and sound damn good for what they are. I don't find them lacking anything that the RT800 can bring. I actually believe the RT2000i's to be a much better sounding speaker when calibrated correctly.

Get the RT3000's if you want the best of both worlds. Don't attempt an upgrade. The cabinet volume won't support it, it would need completely different XO's. It's a non starter.
