Picked up the recent release of Transformers yesterday and it did not disappoint in the areas of Video and Sound. You may not care for the storyline of this series, but you can't deny the video quality of each movie that has came out. The surround mix is very strong when you least expect it and soft when needed. Towards the end of the movie I has to turn my system down a bit in fear of something will clip the system.

This film is a visual treat and will show off your panel or projection setup and it will test your sub and surrounds.

    I looked at it a few times now and haven't had the desire to pick it up. IMO it's a rental at best.

    I thought the blu-ray was very well done, as well. And like the OP, I had to turn down the volume toward the end. There was this electronic/static-y sound effect coming from the rears and I kept thinking they were blown. Thank God they were ok. But yeah, killer soundtrack and excellent visuals.
