Hello all, I am new to the forum and the answer to my question is probably here I just don't know where to look. I recently recapped with Sonicaps for the highs and Solens for the lows, the resistors I replaced with Mills. after around 30 hours they are starting to wake up. I am wondering what the crossover points are for these speaker and how the dimensional array drivers play into it all. Is it a band pass for the SDA drivers?

45Hz and 2000Hz This is according to the SDA Handbook, created by club member Darquenight!2-channelBelles 22A Pre, Emotiva XPA-2 Gen 2, Marantz SA8005, Pro-Ject RPM-10 Turntable, Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3B, Polk Audio Legend L800's, AudioQuest Cable throughout.

It looks like the SDA drivers are 180 out from the opposite speakers stereo drivers with the SDA cable installed, they appear to be band passed around 150Hz on the bottom and 2Khz on the top?

Where did you find the 150 number from? Yes they are 180 out of the stereo speaker.2-channelBelles 22A Pre, Emotiva XPA-2 Gen 2, Marantz SA8005, Pro-Ject RPM-10 Turntable, Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3B, Polk Audio Legend L800's, AudioQuest Cable throughout.

According to my 1987 vintage SDA sales brochure, the frequencies are listed as 45Hz and 2kHz.SDA SRS, SDA SRS1.2TL, SDA-1C,SDA 2B, Soundcraftsmen Amplification (A5002s, MA5002s, MA5002As) -
Thanks, I am new to this and am excited

Welcome to CP! The Crossover points for the 3rd through 5th generation SDAs are little fuzzy. On the Stereo side, the 1st Crossover Point occurs at approximately 2KHz between the tweeters and woofers. This is done via the Crossover. The 2nd Crossover Point, 45Hz occurs mechanically between the woofers and passive radiator via fluid coupling (air being the fluid).
On the Dimensional side, things get more complicated. The signal is inverted 180 degrees, and passes through a 2nd order low pass filter, which also decreases the signal level via the increased impedance of the Inductor. A 2nd Crossover Point occurs at 150Hz through the "full compliment sub-base drive circuit". This circuit inverts the signal 180 degrees, and allows the dimensional and stereo woofers to operate in unison, so they don't cancel each other out. The 3rd Crossover point, 45Hz, is the same as the Stereo side via the passive radiator.Home Theater/2 Channel:
