High pitch sound - N1 soundbar

Hi, I have recently acquired a N1 soundbar. There is very loud high pitched screech being omitted from the far left speaker. It only goes away when the mute button is pushed. Can this be repaired or will the speaker need replacing?

    The best thing to do is either return it from where it was purchased for an exchange, or contact Polk's CS department either via telephone at 1-800-377-7655 or with an email to polkcs@polkaudio.com
