Also going to purchase the 4 year warranty. Hard to beat a 64" plasma for that kind of price.

Do you have a local SEARS closing? Not that I can endorse SEARS (IMHO the chain will be lucky to make it until the Holiday Sales). The one in Manhattan is closing, & 1 of 2 in Wichita.

I bought a 50" Panny 720p plasma there in 2009. Took Walmart 2 more years to drop the same TV to that price.

In checking SEARS website, they have 3 plasma models >= 60". You have to place in cart & fill in all info BEFORE the sale price on the 60" Samsung will show (NO THANX).

The "liquidators" are to come to the local store this week, mark everything back up to regular price & then start w/5% Off . . . . 25%, etc.

Don't expect smiley faces from the employees . . . .

I "might" recommend a display TV. Why? My 60" Kuro display model from BB ran ~ $3K in July 2009. That was what the few remaining 50" were going for on www. It's still an amazing picture!

I just picked up a 70'' Vizio a few days ago and have been surprisingly happy with it. It replaced a Sharp 60" and i'm enjoying it a lot, and got the 5 year warranty for peace of mind.

Bought the same one about 2 months ago... It is a great set for the money and if you don't need the bells and whistles of smart tv and enhanced speakers.... it is perfect.

Go for it!
