In my short foray into mid-fi audio, I have either purchased pre-terminated cables or used bare wire.
The HT that I have spent lots of time working on was still using bare wire. I have been switching amps in and out which has been VERY annoying with bare wire. Plus recently, I purchased a 3 channel amp and my 12g wire wouldn't fit very well so it was kinda sketchy.
Long story short, I installed 7 pairs of bannana plugs today in my HT.
It was actually simple, fun, and very rewarding.
Well worth the effort.

Which ones did you use? I've used a bunch and found that the Monster quick connects are actually some of my favorite. The GLS Audio locking banana's were my least favorite.
Audioquest makes some good ones, but man are they pricey!"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

It was fun to do, and kind of addicting. It had me googling some stuff on how to make my own cables. That might be fun to do down the line.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A

If your going to do that, honestly buy the parts from Doug and DIY it yourself.
I've talked to him on a couple occasions and hes more than willing to walk you through step by step how to build them.
That said the most expensive part is the connectors he uses, which are good connectors, just be aware that those are the pricey part, but worth the money as the terminations matter just as much as the cable in between."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
I agree with Dan about going thru Doug, as I showed a friend the cables Doug made me he wanted some but didnt want to play that much for them so I bought what he need from doug to make his own, here are 2 pics - pic 2 is the one Doug
made and the other (pic 1) we made for him2 ch- Polk CRS+ * Vincent SA-31MK Preamp * Vincent Sp-331 Amp * Marantz SA8005 SACD * Project Xperience Classic TT * Sumiko Blue Point #2 MC cartridge

I love mine. I use them on every speaker I have. easy to install hold very well. They have a reset-able break away point which saves speaker and amp terminals from being broken if something falls or hits them. I am gald they had that on more than one occasion.
