It is almost painful and I've stayed away because it's just to hard on the eyes right now.

Do we really need the "share" icons? Just so you know, 99% of us will NEVER use it.

Do we really need seven thousand million different new threads on this forum changes, really???
-
I'd venture a guess that the majority of the most vocal detractors of this new format do not spend any appreciable amount of money on Polk products, and haven't for a number of years. The minor exception being the odd replacement MW 6.5s and RDO tweeters. The new generation that's being targeted are the ones that will be filling Polk's coffers moving forward, IMO. Maybe this is a forum format that is tailored to appeal to them. I get the feeling that with that being taken into account, The Polk folks might just cut their losses and simply pull the plug on the forum altogether, if all the strife and discord doesn't tone down fairly soon. Hope not, I learn a lot about vintage speaker care and feeding on here ! I appreciate the efforts that have been made, whether I actually care for them or not, is another matter entirely.

Does the efficacy of a protest increase as the number of people grow? -
My gripe has nothing to do with the number of people it's about the multiple concurrent threads, it's going to be MUCH easier for things to get fixed if we can keep them all in one thread vs having a new thread every time somebody wants to **** about something different.
Maybe I'll start creating more 4Shot threads to prove my point... -

So, you are saying the forum is being dumbed down so that Polk can reach the mediocre. That would explain a lot. Sounds like a winning plan for the MP3 and ear bud generation. Lots of money to be made selling mediocrity to fools.

If indeed the purpose of the new forum is to bring in more people, maybe Polk is just trying to attract new customers so that it can sell them gear with decent sound, dong it's part to reduce the mp3 and earbud population altogether. I think Beats is also trying something similar with their newest headphone, trying to get people into gear that sounds decent, as the Solo2 is actually a pretty good sounding on-ear headphone. -

Agree 100%! This area for content is smaller then the art behind it.

How about the fact that I have sent 3pm's to mods for answers to the problems I'm having and yet not one has been answered . One thread? They are not either looking or answering to any of it. I remember a time when they interacted with us on here and were answering our complaints or trying to...so far not in my case

I suspect they're kind of busy...

Sorry, what problems are you having?

Hello,
I've mentioned this to Bruno and the reason for the fairly wide margins is to allow the forum to be read by different devices with ease. I'm afraid it can't be changed without causing problems with tablets, phones etc.
Regards, Ken -
I use "My Yahoo!" as my browser's homepage, I have it set up as two columns, and the columns expand and contract (width wise) depending in your screen resolution settings, and whether your browser is stretched to full screen or only taking up 2/3 of your monitor's screen. The width varies depending on your screen size. It also fits my tablet's screen perfectly.

Who is this "Bruno" guy anyway ?
Where does he come from ?
Who are his people ?

On my phone (android) the text area takes up the entire width of the screen, and there are no margins/images on the sides. I want this to be possible on my PC as well.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

That would be Bruno Mattiello who is in Polk's IT department and has been the person who has worked with the engineers at Vanilla to create this forum.
-
ahhhh ... the mysterious "bmattiello"!
Mystery solved!
At least it wasn't the Sasha Baron-Cohen character : - O -
So why do all the Email notifications have his name on them?
that is what the email title says for me. bmattiello .... -
It's likely default behavior, I'm sure they'll get it corrected...

Then I guess I will only check the forum from my phone which sucks....... On other sites I do not have any problem with their display on either the phone or the iPad, and of course the PC looks fine too. In fact, on the Polk site before we went to this 'upgrade' I had no problem with either a PC, iPad, or phone. The 'Test' format worked fine on all three.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
