yeah, but the speakers are cool... and, in all seriousness, those "69 cent wonder" PartsExpress closeout drivers (PE cat. no. 269-469, Pioneer OEM) were amazingly good sounding fullrange drivers.

I'm one to promote experimentation. I've done some interesting things too, sometimes it was a waste of money but I always learned something from it. If you have funds and the knowledge to design the XO and select the drivers. Go for it. Who knows?
I would like to hear them.'65 427 Shelby Cobra

That is his problem, he doesn't. He thinks that removing the magnet and voicecoil from an 18" JBL woofer will net him a passive radiator.Political Correctness'.........defined

It will but the cone would require some mass damping for any chance to achieve the correct response to the cabinet.
This one would be a better starting point. http://www.parts-express.com/tc-sounds-vmp-18-passive-radiator--293-684'65 427 Shelby Cobra

Eight drivers are easy.
For example.
1) Two 8 ohm drivers in parallel = 4 ohms
2) (Two two-driver) arrays from step 1) in series = 8 ohms
3) (Two four-driver arrays from step 2) in parallel = 4 ohms -
Now do it for 8 ohmsHome Theater/2 Channel:

You said 4 or 8 ohms in post 14 ;-)
Well, as an empiricist, I know that we can get close enough.
First two configurations that come to mind.
Six woofers:
1) three in series = 24 ohm "module 1"
2) Two "module 1" in parallel = 12 ohm "module 2"
Very amplifier-friendly (nominal) load
or...
Eight woofers:
1) Two 12 ohm "module 2" above in parallel = 6 ohm "module 3" (six woofers in toto)
2) On 8 ohm woofer in parallel with one "module 3" = 3.4 ohm "module 4" ( for module 4, Rt = 1/(1/6 +1/8) = 3.4 ohm)
3) Two 3.4 ohm "module 4" in series = 6.8 ohm "module 5"
or... I can think of a couple of ways to get a nominal impedance of 7 ohms... -

If you took your original formula and substituted 4 ohm drivers, and for step 3 put them in series instead of parallelHome Theater/2 Channel:
