    True, but we dont really know what those nifty MIT like network boxes are doing, so its very likely they may have the ability to somewhat voice the cables to the speakers.....

    True enough but if memory serves me right, The owner of Transparent was also part of MIT and the split was in regards to "how" the network boxes were going to work. His philosophy was different than Joe's so he took his and built Transparent cables.

    It would have to do with impedance matching. Most of MIT's interconnects include a switch on the network box, so the end user can adjust it to match the input impedance of their gear.

    There use to be some info on MIT's site addressing the relationship between the two companies, but it is no longer there. Anyway, the relationship as it was, for a short period of time back in beginning MIT had Transparent building their cables. That is it.
