Well it's official. I've decided to accept a new job offer and will be moving in about a month to the Chicago area. That means I am thinning out the herd and am now ready to part with my prized RT5000 speaker system.

This is a virtually-mint one owner set with very few hours on them, all in black.

How do I know they are one-owner? Because I purchased them brand-new in 2002. They come complete in the original factory boxes. As close to NOS as you are likely to find now days.

Components of this deluxe system included:

(2) RT3000p Satellites
(2) RT3000p Subwoofers
(1) CS1000p Center Speaker
(2) f/x1000 Rear Surround Speakers

These are all currently stored in the factory boxes but I will be opening them up in a day or two and posting pics. If they don't sell here in about a week I will probably move them to Craigslist and/or eBay.

$2,000 firm.

Shipping is about $400 or so (depending on where you live). I only charge actual UPS or Fed Ex Ground shipping costs. Pay Pal accepted as well as Postal Money orders.

The optional PSW650 subwoofer in mint condition with the piano black finish which was a matched optional component for this system can also be included for an additional cost.

It's very hard for me to sell these speakers because they are so nice and I have owned them for over 12 years since new but here's your chance to have one of the finest "Flagship" home theater speaker systems ever created by Polk Audio lightly-used in like-new condition for a fraction of the original cost. This is a deal for someone holding out for the nicest RT5000 system they can get.

Buy the RT5K with confidence from Gatecrasher. The set I bought from him arrived without any problems! Well packaged too, no damage! There was so much padding and packing material left over for an additional RT5K!!! Still very happy!

I've never been afraid to ship speakers. It's all in the packing. If they are packed skimpy, there's a good chance they can be damaged. If they are packed good, they will arrive unscathed 99.9% of the time. One of the biggest mistakes people make when shipping the RT3000p subs is standing them straight up in the boxes. They are supposed to be shipped upside down so the plastic base is facing up and doesn't get damaged.

I had to find boxes for chef's speakers and then used a ton of bubble wrap to pad them good. These speakers will be shipped in the original 7 separate Polk factory boxes with the factory Styrofoam forms and everything. I also add additional bubble wrap for extra protection. Plus they are shipped fully-insured just in case they would somehow get damaged in any way.

What a timeless system this is. I was also curious if it was still for sale.

I still have it as well as a bunch of other nice Polk speakers but am currently in the process of moving and don't have time to deal with it now. The main purpose of this ad was to attempt to sell them before the move. I may decide to sell them at a later date after I'm fully moved and unpacked.
