Whats up everyone?
I recently traded my GT-10 for a GT-100 Multi Effects Processor and I'm stumbling through and around it.
I have had many up hill battles with it as I really had the Gt-10 dialed in to perfection. It's funny 2 as soon as I got it perfect , I traded it. I got a stupid deal at Guitar center , they where paying max trade in value on excellent quality gear, 15% off retail price on a new unit plus full trade in applied plus the Gt-100 just dropped it's price. I saved mad money compared if I just went up and picked one up.
Well I will say this , the GT-100 in many ways sounds much better then the GT-10. The one thing that really sticks out so far is the entire OD section. I mean these OD effects sound exactly like the Stand alone pedals did. I laughed a few times on how organic they sound. I used the Distortion + , Metal Master , OD and OD+ along with Tube Screamers and what have you all my playing time which spans all the way back to 1979. And I can't believe how this GT-100 sounds when using them out in front.
I use the GT's in the 4 cable method which allows you to use your amps preamp sections or a modeler. This is very cool and fun but I'm having some trouble dialing in the Modelers but my preamps sound awesome and better then they did with the GT-10.
The Delays and Chorus effects I don't have dialed in as well as I did on the GT-10 but I spent years perfecting the board.
Anyone using the Gt's from Boss? This is my 3rd one and I really like them. I have a serious love hate relationship with them.
I had the GT-8 , GT-10 and now the GT-100.

Her's a pick of my little corner in the basement where I practice. The pedal board I built myself from a Ikea Shelf and modified it to sit on a slant.
The Guitar on the right is my Hard Tail Charvel San Dimas HS HT. I recently changed the neck position Pickup from a Semour Duncan Classic Stack to a Semour Duncan Lil 59 which was a HUGE improvement for the kind of music I play. The Classic Stack was a Single coil noiseless but still sounded like a Stratocaster. I don't have any use for that type of sound which when I purchased the Guitar I thought I could dig in and play some finger picking Country twang type stuff but honestly that got old in about 3 minutes. I'm a Metal Guitarist and thats that.
In the Case is a Jackson Soloist. It's my Baby which I play most of the time.
Here is the GT-10 and the Classic Stack pickup.
This is whats in the Jackson Case.[/URLDan

Nice rig...So I currently don't use any effects in my rig as I have in the past...I used to use a line6 pod hd500, but now just like to hear the untouched signal. I do use my Boss TU-3 and love it .
My Mark V has 3 channels Clean/Crunch/and Distortion all controllable by the footswitch. It is really the finest sounding amp I have ever played ... I've used Fender, Peavey, Ampeg and Music Man over the years.
I don't get to play much anymore but when I do the Mark V is AWESOME.
Here is a pic of my rig.

I had a GT-8 years back. As I remember it many guys preferred the 8 over the 10. Loving the Charvel! I've had a few Charvel's over the years. But mostly ESP and Kramer's are my favorites. Seem to prefer guitars with locking trem's....Kahler Spyder and Floyd Rose especially.--Gary--

I to like sometimes to go effect free and just enjoy the tone of my guitar and amp. Nothing like it really.
Beautiful Les Pauls man, I sold mine years ago and should buy another one.
I don't get to play much either. I try to get in 20 to 30 mins each day but that doesn't happen often. On the weekends I try to get in a solid hour of playing. You really lose it when you don't practice.Dan

I'm one of the ones who liked the GT-10 over the GT-8. I had both and thought the GT-10 sounded better.Dan

The Mark V is my favorite Mesa Amp. If I ever purchased one, that would be it.

I also have a '76 hardtail Strat buried back there...and a Fernandes retro rocket with a sustainer... a couple of Ovations (6 and 12) string, and a Taylor acoustic... all of them are great players. My New Year's resolution is 3840 × 2160

I have a Boss Sd-1 for boosting that I rarely ever use anymore. I play in an AC/DC tribute band and basically just plug straight in to a Marshall..my pedal board is the SD-1, tuner, and wireless receiver..lol
I mainly use an old Marshall JCM900 2500 mkIII. I recently bought a Vintage Modern, but not sure how much I like it yet..it's so loud!
I have 2 Les Pauls that I use regularily for giggin and practice. Charvels are awesome..unfortunately I just had to sell the one I had..just wasnt using it that much anymore. They hold their values though, so i sold it for the same amount I bought it (used).Pioneer Elite VSX-53, Polk RT800i fronts, Polk CS400i center, FX500i surround, Velodyne sub -

The other 2 guitars I want is a Martin D-15 Acoustic and a maybe another Les Paul or Jackson. Jackson came out with a pretty killer Hard Tail Dinky I want to check out.Dan

ahhhh the San Dimas are sweet! And don't you mean a 'cult' type following? I know growing up, and still today, most of the guitarists (myself included0 prefer the old Charvel and Kramer's from the 80's.
A few pics of mine...a few I no longer have though. I had to part with them a few years ago after a very unexpected layoff. I had around 25 guitars in my collection at one point. Even a few custom Halo guitars from a guy in the Carolina's.
Not mine but I have the same guitar in my shop undergoing a restoration. Been in pieces for a few years now! lol

A DR103 with jumpered channels will give you all the sustain you will ever need....
