I just noticed that the dust cap on a MW6500 in one of my monitor 7's is loose. Approx 1/2 of it is detached. Looking sor suggestions on the proper glue to use to re-attach it. Thanks

The dust caps were glued in place before the clear, tacky coating was applied to the cones. You can use the black solvent based glue, which is expensive (Simply Speaker carries it in small quantities), or Aleen's Tacky Glue. Put a fine bead of whichever glue you prefer around the entire dust cap, so it looks even. If the dust cap is raised, you'll need to put some type of small weight on it to hold it down while the glue sets. Use as little glue as possible. You don't want the glue to overflow, and drip down inside the voice coil former. A steady hand is required for a professional look.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Thanks Dave. Will probably go the extra cost and get the glue from Simply Speakers. Probably will have lots left over so it will be in stock for whoever needs it. Probably will be a month or two before I start the 7 rebuild and make over. In the mean time I swapped out the 6500 with a spare one had on the shelf.
