F1,
I can already see a 65" plasma on the wall between those SDA's and the MF equipment running front channels of a very high class HS/HT.

Funny how I was just in the market in buying a new tv. I was condering a 50 inch Sony XBR or a Pioneer Elite Pro 1000hdi. I was now faced with spending the money. I couldn't see spending all that cash on video which is something I'm not way into.
So I started looking at all the LCD and DLP's of the world. DILA by JVC as well. As good as there picture looks with slow moving HDTV signals, I feel they all fail to CRT with fast moving video.
The amount of money you spend on a let use the Mitsubishi DLP 50 for an example vs my set Sony 46 inch tabletop CRT , for all that extra money , why the hell would I spend it???? my tv is only 1499.99 and the Mits was 3799.99 . UMMMMMMM NOOOO!!!!!
So I bought the Sony and I love it. I know it's not the latest and greatest technology out there , CRT has been arond for a very long time, but you know what ??? I't looks killer and I'm so happy.Did I mention I'm happy???
Becareful when buying a new tv , they are very expensive and figure out what your going to be watching. DLP looks like **** with analog signals. CRT looks way better. LCD is the worse I feel as it is also a older technology.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
The DLP's and LCD's are also much easier cheaper to manufactuer..... one lens, no tubes with expensive optics, lighter, less complicated......
What we are seeing happening is the same as the migration to front wheel drive cars, inferior or not.Go BIG or go home!
