Polk Audio Speakers SDA-2 - $685 (Burien) (http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ele/4561303168.html)
So, I know the blade/blade IC on the back gives these away as 2A's (statistically speaking... I know they could possibly be 2B's, but not very likely).
The identification I was hoping for was which of the following would induce the seller to think he will get $685 for them:
a) Booze?
b) Weed (newly legal in WA state... YAY!)?
c) Inhalants (WA state requires me to show ID to purchase compressed air to clean out my computer with)?
d) The really good, and actually illegal, drugs like your meth and/or your crack?
Sorry, for making everyone look... I just couldn't resist when I saw the asking price on these.

Lots of folks "trolling for idiots". Apparently, there's just enough idiots to make trolling for them an occasionally-profitable venture. Once in awhile, somebody must hook one or I'd think the practice would die-out.
Example: Some bonehead on eBay is asking $1850 for SRS-2 speaker which they incorrectly describe as "SDA SRS" speakers; and as usual they don't have the acuity to describe them as blade/blade or pin/blade, and also as usual, don't have a photo of the actual speaker and interconnect cable attachment.
Judging by the rear-panel decals, they're blade/blade units worth about $500.

What's really scary is, I've got more invested in upgrades for my 2ATLs than he's selling those for. Not even counting the walnut veneer I'll be installing.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Very true... If I were to try to get just materials expense back for my 2BTL's (fully redone XO's including inductors and Gimpod's boards, 198's, rings, spikes, binding posts, BH5) on top of the $200 I paid for them stock I'd be over $800. But that just makes the $685 for stock 2A's seem all the more cuckoo for cocopuffs.
Although to be fair, I guess there are different definitions of crazy. When I look at the $450+ I've got in an AL 1000va transformer, enclosure, Cardas binding posts (I did my Dreadnaught before Speakons) and custom IC cabling, I sometimes think, "This replaces a vacuum cleaner cord" and wonder if I've lost my mind. -

You're right. Some of the kinds of investments that members here put into SDAs can never be recovered in a sale. You really just have to decide they're going to hang around as long as you do. I do admire the work people do though!
