I have some Polk PC speakers that don't work, and I am looking for some drivers to get them to work with my laptop.
Does anyone have a list of available drivers for Windows 98?
The speakers don't have a model#, but the #000M3A2-0 is on the bottom, along with >HIPS<

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Will

Perhaps I'm missing something, but aren't PC speakers just self-amplified speakers?? You shouldn't need any software driver specific to the speakers. Perhaps a driver for the sound card?

Do the speakers themselves work? Try plugging them into a Walkman, or anything with a 1/8" headphone jack.

yeah, what he said. Or you could plug some headphones into your PC, which ever is easier, you just need to troubleshoot both pieces to determine where the problem is.

The polks don't require any software though, just a signal from a souce such as the sound card...

You need the drivers for the sound card. Go on the Microsift windows website and can download the drivers. You may need to go to you computer manf. website. Also, you might need to go into your control panel and make adjustments.
