SurroundBar 3000 and TV Remote

I programmed my TV remote as per instructions and the volume up button works fine but the volume down botton also increases the volume? I followed instructions for the volume down botton.

    Hello,
    Welcome to Polk's forum. Try this, place the bar in the standby mode, the LED will be red. Press for about two seconds the "learn" button, the LED will blink twice and become amber colored. This will remove any programming instructions but allow the bar to respond to its own remote. Verify that using the bar's remote will operate all of the functions properly. Now go through the programming instructions using the TV's remote and see if things work correctly.
