    But...but...but there's no waste in government. They've cut everything to the bone. LOL !!

    This is your money folks.....lets not also forget the pensions at that salary range. All while the vets themselves get crap care and waiting lists. Perfect example of what a government run HC system evolves into.

    I guess having the will to do so would help. Government is suppose to be there to serve the people, not the other way around. Salary caps on all government jobs much like we have in sports would help along with 401k's instead of monster pensions. Even the private sector has a salary range for each position.

    You have to repeal Obamacare, get the vets into a private sector HC system. I'm all for taking care of vets, they deserve the absolute best possible care, but a government run system won't deliver that for them....or you.

    We need to start addressing the root cause of problems instead of constantly placing Band-Aids on them. Much of that was already discussed before the passage of Obamacare so I won't rehash that.

    interesting website. I'm a little dumb on Arizona and amps. There is over 250 people working the department of Agriculture there!
    I thought why so many as 1/2 of it is government land and 1/2 desert and 1/4 Indian land? :redface: :cheesygrin:
    Then I looked it up and tons of food I'm eating comes from there. (I assumed some cattle) So two questions.
    Where is the water coming from and do you need 300 people watchdogging?

    And there is talk in Congress of more taxes to 'fix' the VA problems.

    I am first to say vets should be taken care of for their service - seems like those salaries should be a good source to start with.

    H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.

    It would be interesting to see who on the list is directly involved with patient care, and who is administrative. something tells me it's lop-sided in the wrong direction.

    My brother is a internal medicine doc employed at a midwest VA with a close to 30 years in as his only gig since graduating from med school. Last I knew he was under 150K... Not sure what all this money is about.

    That's why everyone needs to be taxed at 70 % :-).

    Public sector workers are compensated way better than their private sector equivalents and they can't be fired, can lose their email and be protected by left just as long as they promise to keep them in power. Government is less honorable than organized crime.No wait government is organized crime... Sell guns to drug lords and you don't even have to face charges. No one could buy my vote for any price... just goes to show that some folks are cheap dates.

    I remember starting out, government jobs paid less, but the long term benefits, heath insurance, retirement etc. outweighed the private sector. Now they're paid more, have better benefits, and can't be terminated without a long drawn out legal process. Sickening

    Whats that joke the Government gets 3 quotes on repairs at the White house they choose the highest bid from the contractors does not bother with the middle quote and then the Contractor that gets the job pays the lowest bid contractor to do the job. I wish I could find that joke but that's how it works.
