RTiA7 and Dahlquist DQ8 to Yamaha DSP-A1
Since purchasing the RTiA7 last year, today is the first time I had a chance to hook up the speaker to the Yamaha DSP-A1. I kept my Dahlquist DQ8 for the right channel and the RTiA7 for the left channel. This is my first impression: the old Dahlquist DQ8 blows away the RTiA7. I don't know if the Polk needed to be broken in or if the DSP-A1 was under power for the Polk? I do appreciate anyone has any input.

2 completely different speakers. One designed purely for music and one designed for movies. The RTiA7's are very nice $800.00 speakers, for the money they are excellent but they are no DQ8's my man as you just learned.
Nice you got a DSPA1, keep it forever and ever , it's my favorite of all time Yamaha receiver. The RXV1 was also amazing.Dan

Wise words from a wise man. Thank you!
I got those Polk for half off when Polk had a friends and family special discount, so I shouldn't feel bad.
