Ebay score: Monitor 7C's

I found a set of these local to me with a starting bid of $25. I'm on a budget and have limited space but I convinced the old lady to let me bid on these. With only a max bid of $50, I was sure there was no way I'd win these. I told myself, "at least I tried".
Turns out I was only person to place a bid. I couldn't believe it. So I picked them up yesterday and found that they were in excellent condition. The pics on Ebay weren't that great but there's not a blemish on them. The drivers are perfect and the woofers passed the push test with flying colors. Not bad for $25...

Congrats. Picked up a similar pair 20 minutes from me. Arguably the best, most balanced of all the vintage Monitors.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Nice, they look to be in great condition. I paid $75 on CL for my 7C's and was happy with that price. Seems like I don't see the C model listed on here very often. Perhaps there weren't as many of that model sold.
Looks like we have different tweeters though. Mine have the SL2500, which to me, sounds very good. -
Great find! So if that is a 7C is that the SL2000 tweeter?HT: Marantz NR-1603, Oppo 981, Def Tech SM55, SVS PB-1000

7s are the bomb. One of my favorite vintage Polks. Yours look a lot like mine.
Enjoy, you did well!

Awesome score! Of all the great budget monitors I have gone through, LSi7s, Energy RC-10s, NHT SuperOnes and SB2s, my Monitor 5s w/peerless remain. They will never leave my collection, unless I find some 7s with peerless! They do so much right and so little wrong, and even the 5s have amazing bass extension for their size, and its tight and musical. They are a joy to listen to. Once funds allow, these are getting a crossover update for sure. As nice as they sound though, I'm in no rushDisplay: Sony 42" LCD
