Hello,

I just started noticing a crackling sound coming from my sub. It's not a constant sound, just at the end of a bass hit or the tail end of it. It doesn't sound like an electrical crackling, but more of a distorted physical crackling sound(sorry hard to explain it) Are there any steps I can take to determine what the problem might be? Thanks.

The plate amp is failing. Mine was doing the same thing in my LSi25's. If its under warranty then contact Polk customer service by phone. If not it will more than likely be more cost effective to purchase another sub.

    Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum, I'm sorry there's a problem. The best thing to do is call Polk's CS department at 1-800-377-7655 or via email to: polkcs@polkaudio.com. It will be helpful to have the unit's serial number and date and place of purchase handy when you contact them.
    Regards, Ken
