crs + Tl mode

I picked up a pair of stock crs+ and am thinking about upgrading them. Would it be possible to add just one cap in the high pass with a value of 17.7 uf rather than one 12uf and another in parallel at 5.7uf to do the tl mod? Thanks

You can't just throw in a larger cap and expect it to perform the same. The TL modification were designed by Polk, and tested extensively by many members here.Home Theater/2 Channel:

I did an extensive CRS+ overhaul in 2012 and did a write up here:

Good luck with your project, keep us posted.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
