Worth it or not?? Rear surrounds upgrade?

Recently picked up a CSi5, and now only my rear surrounds are not RTi matched. I currently have Monitor 50s and am thinking of selling them to pick up a pair of RTi6s.
Is it worth the.hastle since the rears seem to output so little?

Get another keg. Rears are fine IMO.

Rears are not as critical as fronts but it's better to match all around.
If you have the money, why not?

Rears are very important and must be matched with the correct line that you use. If your in a smaller room and only doing a 5 ch setup with rti then you must must must get fxi's.

im willing to bet many here have mismatched systems and i'll also bet they're pretty in tune. its all about how much time you put into set up and room treatments and such.2 Channel(work in progress):DAC: Schiit modi 2 uberAmp:Parasound 1200 MK IISub:RBH 1010-SEP Speakers: Monitor 5A peerlesscurrently running some krk rokit 3g since the HK pre outs died and i need to start breaking everything down to move in a couple monthsHeadphones:Source: tidalDAC: schiit modius epre: schiit sysAmp: AQ dragonfly black/ schiit magni2 Cans: Velodyne V-True, Grado SR225i, sennheiser x drop gaming headsetPC:DAC: schiit modius e(over spdif)pre: schiit sysspeakers: prenous eris 5 xtSub: Earthquake Sound MiniMe-P63most of my comments are passing on of info, im a noob, im just trying to help how i can, if im wrong or out of place to comment, dont hesitate to let me know "WITH WILLING HEARTS AND SKILLFUL HANDS, THE DIFFICULT WE DO AT ONCE, THE IMPOSSIBLE TAKES A BIT LONGER, WITH COMPASSION FOR OTHERS. No your wrong its not in tune, if many have it like this its because they dont care or have never heard a properly balanced timbre matched setup with good source material.

PFB has a point if you are looking at the specs of the fronts, center and rears. You ideally want matching speakers for the propose of being able to better make adjustments in room treatments and speaker placement. Ohms, power rating, SPL level and crossovers. Each brand or even each series line can differ and cause havoc on your listening enjoyment.Family Room HT 7.2/i]:Vizio Oled55h1 Pioneer Elite SC-LX502 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Eversolo DMP A6 Panamax M5300-EXSpeakers Fronts Fluance XF8L Center Polk Audio S35 Side Surrounds Fluance bipolar Rear Surrounds FluanceXF8 Bookshelf Subs SVS PB4000 x2 Living room 2ch: Crown Xli 1500 amp x2, Teac EQ MKII FX Audio X6 Mk II DAC Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Tower Speakers Panamax M5100-EXOffice media room:Vizio M50Q6 50" Pioneer Elite VSX LX301 Eversolo DMP-A6 Polkaudio R600 Towers Polkaudio Center R350 Panamax M4300 Monoprice 12" subMaster bedroom:Vizio M55Q7 Pioneer Elite VSX LX302 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Bookshelf fronts, Rears Fluance Signature Bipolar Polk Audio CS10 center Monoprice 12" sub Panamax M5300-EX

im not saying he is wrong, im saying that there are non timbre matched speakers out there that can be made to sound awesome in a system. how many people here use subs that arent timbre matched, or upgrade their speakers with different drivers that arent timbre matched. while we're at it, all of our electronics must be same brand, and series too; cables and connectors need to be the same brand, right?2 Channel(work in progress):DAC: Schiit modi 2 uberAmp:Parasound 1200 MK IISub:RBH 1010-SEP Speakers: Monitor 5A peerlesscurrently running some krk rokit 3g since the HK pre outs died and i need to start breaking everything down to move in a couple monthsHeadphones:Source: tidalDAC: schiit modius epre: schiit sysAmp: AQ dragonfly black/ schiit magni2 Cans: Velodyne V-True, Grado SR225i, sennheiser x drop gaming headsetPC:DAC: schiit modius e(over spdif)pre: schiit sysspeakers: prenous eris 5 xtSub: Earthquake Sound MiniMe-P63most of my comments are passing on of info, im a noob, im just trying to help how i can, if im wrong or out of place to comment, dont hesitate to let me know "WITH WILLING HEARTS AND SKILLFUL HANDS, THE DIFFICULT WE DO AT ONCE, THE IMPOSSIBLE TAKES A BIT LONGER, WITH COMPASSION FOR OTHERS. The more you can match, makes it easier to find the sweet spot or find the flaws.Family Room HT 7.2/i]:Vizio Oled55h1 Pioneer Elite SC-LX502 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Eversolo DMP A6 Panamax M5300-EXSpeakers Fronts Fluance XF8L Center Polk Audio S35 Side Surrounds Fluance bipolar Rear Surrounds FluanceXF8 Bookshelf Subs SVS PB4000 x2 Living room 2ch: Crown Xli 1500 amp x2, Teac EQ MKII FX Audio X6 Mk II DAC Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Tower Speakers Panamax M5100-EXOffice media room:Vizio M50Q6 50" Pioneer Elite VSX LX301 Eversolo DMP-A6 Polkaudio R600 Towers Polkaudio Center R350 Panamax M4300 Monoprice 12" subMaster bedroom:Vizio M55Q7 Pioneer Elite VSX LX302 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Bookshelf fronts, Rears Fluance Signature Bipolar Polk Audio CS10 center Monoprice 12" sub Panamax M5300-EX

If you aren't happy with the monitors as rears then try something else. Some will say matched rears is crucial, some will say it isn't too important. It all really comes down to how satisfied you are with your rig in its current state, and how much funding you have.
I just run a 3ch setup with the subwoofer crossover set roughly to where my lsim703s cut out. Center is a lsic, not a perfect match for the lsim703s, but the lsim706c isn't a priority upgrade for me at this point. -
Well they look nicer, it would be superb if you can find a merchant with a generous return policy.

My stuff is all vintage, but I have to agree, timbre matching across the front is critical, front to rear less so, but still very important, especially with well engineered surround tracks. Nothing more aggravating than vocals or effects changing while panning.Home Theater/2 Channel:
