Well...I thought the idea of audiophile fuses was far fetched...? However, this takes it to another level. Oh well...to each his own.

Interesting....but it's not new tech. Passive Electronic circuit transducers have been around awhile, just not so much in high end audio. I guess they figured out a way to convert old tech into new by applying it to those with deeper wallets.

Maybe it has to do with the cross interference of low level magnetic fields within a audio component and neutralizing those effects on the signal....I dunno. What I do know is my digital cable, that thing that passes 1's and 0's, by Audio Metallurgy uses magnets to create a magnetic field for shielding....leaving nothing but air in between the wires inside. My ears tell me there's something to that design too.

I agree with this. There seem be more and more of these devices popping up that use magnetic compounds, like ferrite, as noise shields.

Results vary depending on the quality of shielding in your electronics and cables and the amount and type of environmental electrical noise present. These devices can also result in diminished sound quality in some applications.

Following that Mad Scientist link, it looks like you can get a free BlackDiscus device sample (direct link):

    http://www.madscientist-audio.com/free-sample-blackdiscus/

It doesn't seem like there's any major hoops to jump through to receive a free sample.
"To obtain your free sample, simply drop us an email to info <at> madscientist-audio <dot> com with your name and postal address (please include your postcode and country)."

The site mentions a point that DK noted, ie, "But also we know that they work better on some systems than others, and on a few systems they barely do anything.".
I don't have any plans on sending for a free sample as I'm pretty sure my gear falls into the "barely do anything" category. : ' )
For you guys with more upscale systems, well, free is free and might be fun to play with.

They also have a project plan for making a Power Purifier using free samples.
