This is basically what I did years ago, except substitute "4's" for "5's". Those vintage Polks (4/5/7/10/12) make GREAT surround systems if you can collect enough of them!
Thanks for the additional advice. I guess I will just have to see what's available locally and online be it a 5, or a CS400i. How do you set up dual centers? -
Yea and I like the nice look, cherry and it was new for $250.
Polk had recommend it as the closest thing for my 2.3tls.
Before that I tried a CS2 but it seemed weak,

Nightfall, your older 5s had 8 ohm woofers, so the speaker was rated 8 ohm. The later models used 4 ohm woofers and 8 ohm tweeters, and were rated 6 ohm. Later models should be wired in series.Home Theater/2 Channel:
