A true low mileage, numbers matching barn find. They sounded good but I think the mike was a little west of the sweet spot. For $2,900 he should throw in some of those $400 jumpers :cool:

I love it!!!!! Beautiful speakers and at just about any cost they are damn good. At what point does the cost of a pair of SRS not matter to an individual?

If I were in the market for these I'd pay top dollar for them if they were with in a reasonable distance.

I do think $2,900 is out of line but who knows!!!! As I remember I paid $500. for my SRS2's in mint condition, what a deal that was.

I paid almost that including tax for my 2.3tls new in 1990.
For used that is about a little high it should be about $1400.
But it's all about four things, location, condition, income and how much you want them.

Cleanest pair I've seen in a long time with coffins, etc. He may not get what he is asking for them, but there isn't a better pair listed right now.

It was about a year ago a pair sold for $3200. Then not to long ago there was a question on here about another pair (not sure which series) for $3000. The opinion around here about those was mixed. These are not mine but I would prob let mine go for 3 grand. even with those figures I am with the rest of you. They seem a little high, but appaerently some folks might be willing to pay it as seen in the past.

you are right about that Dennis. I got a tickle out of his description on sound with low power and that acreage that they seem to fill up with sound

Quite possibly the longest selling shill in E-Bay history. As for his look back in time I think he did get tht all right. $3+ freight shipping is a lot of coin but they are in very nice shape ,but what do I know. I other thing I know they are tall but they do not look all that deep,it that an obsticle illusion or that's the depth that they are? Also are these the same as Lasareath(Sals's) which still look taller wider, and deeper. I'm still not into Polks nominclature. I need some brain washing to figure out all models or flash cards like they did in the military to identify enemey planes and ships.

The Sda Handbook would clarify most your questions but these and the 1.2tls are the same size within a inch or two.

I like how he tested one inside and the other outside with no cable connected and it must be extra special because they work at low power but his description is priceless

Maybe, but maybe not. Says he has them stored in the garage and will set them up for a local buyer (and take pictures). Said they work fine and everything was in good order. He said the pictures posted were just to illustrate "like" speakers, not the pair he has buried in the garage. Are there any Polkies in the Jacksonville area who would audition them for a guy in Iowa? I'd gladly pay you with corn, soybeans, and bacon!!
