Unfortunately, I can't. Funds had to be allocated elsewhere putting this a little out of reach.

If you ever want to drive down and visit Houston, I'd be happy to take it off your hands as a second one for my system.

On second thought, I might need to have my house reinforced to handle two of them. Aw heck, what does it matter if there's a few cracks in the drywall...and bricks...and foundation...

FWIW, the depth charge scene in U-571 is amazing on this sub, and (IMO) the perfect demo for this.

Seriously, this is an amazing sub, and if you live close by, you really need to getit. Don't pass this one up! GLWTS

No there aren't....we are but a dying breed.
Enders, you know how it is with a newborn....my HT hasn't seen a movie in 6 months! Hell, just doing the MIT demo is going to be hard enough. I just can't justify this right now.

How is this for music? I have an LSi HT, but use it 90% for 2 channel listening. Currently only have an HSU STF-2 that is OK and would prefer something better. But I have been looking at front firing sealed subs instead.

IMHO this would make your HSU STF STFU . For music it would honestly be quite good. If it wasnt a 15+ hour trip one way it wouldnt be on the market and I would be selling the stuff for my DIY sub.

The SVS PB2-Plus would kick **** on the HSU STF-2 you have now Max. I'm SMH why this fantastic sub hasn't been snatched up by a CP member. Gaara is practically bending over backwards to help someone get a bargain deal on an excellent sub. People spend $500 dollars everyday on new subs at BB etc. that can't even compare to the SVS PB-2.

How about $400 local pickup for a bargin? I appreciate the support guys and would like this to stay in the family. It saddens me to see this everytime I go to watch a movie just sitting unloved in a dark corner of the basement.

Should be solid. I actually used it for music and really enjoyed it with a LSi system back in the day. It goes deep and hits hard. How much of a difference it will be vs your HSU I don't know, but I think it heavily depends on the type of music and volume level.

As a comparison I purchased dual HSU ULS-15s to replace this. The one was a nice improvement for music but didn't have the output required for HT. With the second I am almost there but I still feel that the single PB2-Plus matched/exceeded the output of my dual ULS-15s. Perhaps the Quad-Drive is in my future.

P.S. If anyone is local but can't transport look into Home Depot/Lowes. It is ~$15/hr in our area which is very reasonable IMO.

I have been considering an ULS-15. If you say music is better on it, then I would always be wondering if I was missing something with the SVS. So I'm going to have to pass. Money is also a little tight since I spent too much this past month.

Devani, I may be interested in the Adcom amp you have for sale. Maybe we can arrange a deal and then all meet around Hartford.

Yeah, I preferred a single for music to the SVS, but the differents wasn't big. On the HT side the single ULS couldn't keep up with the SVS.

Though if your budget is tight a ULS is going to be 2-3x the price of this bad boy. I bought my rosewood one used for $800 and that was a great price at the time. Waited a couple months to get another used and never found one, so I bought new for $1275.

If this were anywhere near Los Angeles, it would be sitting in my home theater, and we wouldn't be having this conversation. :)

A 'good' sub has been on my list of upgrades for quite a while now... Man this is tempting... But, god, it's HUGE. I wish someone else would buy this so I could stop thinking about it! I keep telling myself, "it's massive, you don't have the fun money right now, it's too far to drive, wife would kill you..."

Then I think, "when in the hell will you ever see this good of a deal, You get to Scranton now and then (2.5 hours closer), it'll blow away your measly Boston PV-600s..."

    James, you're killing me!

If you're trying to talk yourself out of buying this, you need to do a better job LOL

FWIW, I have a PB12-NSD/2 (that I bought B-stock in '07 for $800+), and I would not sell it for $600 unless I was REALLY hungry...
    this one's a no-brainer people.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Nope, and no chance on shipping, sorry. Priced it this low to avoid all of that, and so I can provide a local member with a deal.
