This is a David Chesky album, which means that the recording quality is excellent.
The album has 13 tracks, most of which are familiar tunes -- "Round Midnight," Somewhere Over the Rainbow."
Her voice on this album is pretty laid-back -- mellow and breathy, less strident than Diana Krall, who is not very strident in general.
It's music I can listen to at any time -- except when I'm in the mood for something that really stirs me up.
Chesky's "Women of Song" includes a couple of Christy Baron tracks, as well as tracks of other female vocalists that Chesky has recorded. If you don't have this album or haven't heard it, it is a good introduction to Christy Baron, her colleagues in the Chesky "stable," and Chesky recording style.
With that said, you may well know more about Chesky and crew than I do.
