What happened to the 3910?
Mine needs a new laser pickup. I really liked it when it worked, until it started getting fussy on the CD, DVD-A and SACD's. Sometimes it wouldn't play the same disc twice. -

That was the symptoms mine was displaying as well.
I cleaned the lens, but that had little effect. So I did
a hard reset and bingo. It seems to be fixed.
So with the 3910 on:
press and hold the stop button and then the skip and play buttons
at the same time and hold for about three seconds.
It should flash initializing on the screen.
